What is an Orthophoto

Orthophoto is an aerial photography geometrically rectified so that the scale is the same. Unlike the rough aerial photography, the orthophoto can be used to measure actual distance, as it is an accurate representation of the earth's surface once it is aligned in terms of topographic relief, lens distortion and camera tilt. After processing phots we get a georeferenced orthophoto plan and digital terrain model (DTM, DSM etc.).
